International Partners Program

Missouri State University has a long and successful history of partnerships and joint educational programs with leading Chinese universities. A major benefit of these partnerships is that all Chinese partner university students who enroll at Missouri State University qualify for the International Partners Scholarship. There is no limit on the number of students eligible for these programs.

The value of the International Partners Scholarship varies based on the number of credit hours taken. The scholarship waives seventy-five (75%) of the out-of-state portion of tuition charged by Missouri State University.

The International Partners Program is a formal agreement between Missouri State University and its partner universities. The focus of the program is to provide students from partner universities with a flexible, high quality education at the lowest cost possible. A summary of the joint educational programs available to qualifying students is provided below.

2 + 1 + 1 Program

The Chinese Partner University (CPU) students attend two (2) years of study at the CPU, then study at Missouri State University (MSU) for one (1) year, and return to complete their degree at the CPU.

3 + 1 + 1 Program

Chinese Partner University (CPU) students attend three (3) years of study at CPU, then study at Missouri State University (MSU) for one (1) year to complete their bachelor’s degree which will be awarded by the CPU. A second one (1) year period at MSU will be required to complete an accelerated master’s degree program with the master’s degree to be awarded by MSU. The CPU students must apply for, meet all requirements, and be admitted into this specific graduate program. Time periods assume full-time enrollment, and completion of all degree requirements for the degrees.

2 + 2 + 1 Program

Chinese Partner University (CPU) students attend two (2) years of study at CPU, then study two (2) years at Missouri State University (MSU) to complete their bachelor’s degree which will be awarded by the CPU. Another one (1) year period at MSU will be required to complete an accelerated master’s degree program with the master’s degree to be awarded by MSU. The CPU students must apply for, meet all requirements, and be admitted into this specific graduate program. Time periods assume full-time enrollment, and completion of all degree requirements for the degrees.

The Graduate Student Program

Chinese Partner University students may attend Missouri State University to take graduate courses either as nondegree-seeking students or as degree-seeking students.
